Training workshop on “Accessing and Intermediation of Local Language Content” at D.Net |
D.Net is going to conduct a training workshop on "Accessing and Intermediation of Local Language Content" for infomediaries working in telecentres under PAN Localization project in collaboration with BRAC University. The workshop will be held at D.Net training room during January 23-31, 2008. The training workshop will be useful to the person working in the telecentres as knowledge worker/manager/infomediary. A number of tools will be introduced which will enhance their content searching skills. The objectives of the training is to train infomediaries on how to deliver local language content perfectly to the community following the training module developed under PAN Localization II. Identify training requirement from the participants to finalize the training manual. Finally develop a generic training manual for knowledge worker/manager/infomediary working in telecentres.
Infomediaries from different telecentres practitioners like BNNRC, DAM, Practical Action, YPSA, DEN, BRAC Net, Coast Trust and D.Net will participate in this training workshop. The infomediaries will also receive a refreshers training after 6 month to refreshes their knowledge and skill.
